THE hospital is not totally closing its doors on the nurses who passed the recent licensure examinations. But there is really a stigma attached to it (cheating), if you think of the implication that it may have on all the June board passers.

It would be a pity to those who passed the board on their own merit if they would not be given the chance to prove their worth. They deserve to have a chance. However, there are so many things to consider.

In our hospital, all applicants go through a set of rigid examinations, just like taking the board. There are fill in the blanks and oral tests. (But to the applicants who passed the board in June) we will also have to individualize the screening. Interview by Jocelyn R. Uy
