Decision on 2006 nursing exams will set precedent

THE NURSING board examinees that took the June 2006 board exams should repeat the examination because their case sets a precedent. If there will be more scams in the future, future culprits would point to the 2006 exams and the 2006 examinees, and there will be a vicious cycle of cheating.

Not making those examinees retake the exams would also be unfair to previous successful examinees that worked hard to pass their exams.

It is not only review centers that are guilty of leaking exam questions. A famous university with an in-house review center has been benefiting from leakages for the longest time. This cheating must be put to an end.
