IT SEEMS that the new nurses, and even those who topped the controversial licensure board exam in June, are afraid to retake the exam. If they really know their nursing, there is no reason they cannot hurdle the tests.
After all, the test questions are based on basic knowledge of nursing. The practicum is not even included. And the necessary information will not change overnight. So, an individual who studied and graduated from a nursing school and happened to pass the exam honestly has no reason to be anxious and be dreadful of the repeat exam.
Although I have been a nurse for 11 years, I am willing to relinquish my Philippine license as a registered nurse and take the exam with the new graduates. Modesty aside, I am not afraid to take exam. I know I can pass it because I know my nursing.
