The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announced yesterday that its fact-finding committee has established that there was a leakage of test questions from the manuscripts of two members of the Board of Nursing before the actual conduct of the June 11 and 12, 2006 Nurses Licensure Examination.
The announcement was made yesterday by PRC Chairwoman Leonor Tripon Rosero and Commissioners Avelina A. de la Rea and Renato B. Valdecantos.
The PRC officials said administrative charges shall be filed against these two and as warranted by evidence, proper penalties shall be imposed on them pursuant to law.
Rosero said this leakage irregularity shall be referred to the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) for its own investigation and determination of all the persons and parties involved and their criminal prosecution under the law.
The two board members were earlier directed to inhibit themselves from the official functions of the Board of Nursing relative to the processing and release of the results of the examination.
The results are expected to be released sometime next week.
